If you are considering a destination wedding you're probably trying to figure out where the special week should take place. Cabo is very much known as a party town, but there is so much more to this magical place where the desert meets the sea!

1. Getting There Is Easy
If you live in Western Canada, getting to Cabo is a short flight, and you can also get direct flights out of most major cities. This is appealing not only to you as the wedding couple, but also to your guests. If you are only getting away for a week it’s nice to not spend a lot of time traveling. Let’s face it, the less time on a plane, the more time you have to celebrate with your friends and family.
2. Beautiful Beaches
If you want an incredible beach for your wedding location, your pictures, or just to relax with your family and friends, Cabo has it! The beaches are wide and long. True, the tide can be a little unruly so it makes ocean swimming impossible in a lot of spots, but there are a few swimmable beaches in the area. The resorts are also set up well with lots of lounge chairs on the beach and a swimming pool only a few steps away to cool off.
3. Amazing Sunsets
I can’t even describe the sunsets, you just have to see them! But if you want sunset photos, the backdrop here is perfect.
4. Smaller Resorts
A lot of the resorts in Cabo are smaller and more compact. This is nice when traveling with a group because it is easier to find or run into your guests. If any of your family or friends have mobility issues, there is a lot less walking at these resorts. And if you forget something in your room, you don’t have to take a trolley to get back and forth.
5. Lots Of Nightlife And Activities Off of The Resort
Want to go quadding, surfing, or sailing? You can do this, plus so much more. Snorkeling, golf, fishing…Cabo has it all! There are also lots of nighttime options. Cabo is the home of famous nightclubs like Cabo Wabo Cantina, El Squid, The Office, The Mango Deck, and many more. You could go to a different bar each evening if you wanted to. There are lots of great spots for last minute stag and stagette parties.
6. Great Food
Cabo is known for its great culinary experiences. I had some of the best meals I have ever had, both on and off the resorts in Cabo. There are a lot of well known chefs that work or own restaurants in Los Cabos. You can get any type of cuisine: tacos, steak, seafood, or sushi. Seriously, it is all available here, and it is delicious.
