Los Cabos has always been one of my favorite destinations in Mexico, and after spending ten incredible days soaking up the sun, exploring, and simply relaxing, I’m reminded exactly why I keep coming back.
This trip was a perfect mix of adventure, ocean breezes, and downtime with good company. We packed in some of the best experiences Cabo has to offer—whale watching, lounging on Medano Beach, strolling the Art Walk, and ending the days with breathtaking sunsets. And, of course, there was plenty of delicious food, refreshing cocktails, and just enjoying the Baja way of life.
A Tale of Two Resorts: Sandos Finisterra & Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos
A huge part of what made this trip so great was getting to experience two different resorts, each with its own special charm.

Sandos Finisterra is a resort I know well—it’s one of my go-to stays in Cabo, and for good reason. Its cliffside location overlooking the Pacific offers some of the most stunning views in the area. The best part? It’s a short walk to downtown Cabo San Lucas, making it easy to explore, pop into local spots, and experience the lively marina scene. It has that laid-back Baja vibe, and I never get tired of sitting out on the terrace, enjoying the view, and sometimes even spotting whales right from the resort!

Over at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos, I fully embraced relaxation mode. The resort itself is stunning, with beautiful pools, fantastic dining, and spacious rooms. The beach here is still for long walks along the shore and listening to the waves crash in the background. The all-inclusive experience was seamless, and whether it was sipping a margarita by the infinity pool or enjoying a gourmet dinner, it was all about taking it easy and soaking up the Cabo sunshine.

Whale Watching: Baja’s Most Magical Experience
One of the biggest highlights of the trip was whale watching—an absolute must if you’re in Cabo during the winter months. Seeing these massive, graceful creatures breaching and playing in the open water is one of those moments that just sticks with you. We hopped on a boat and spent the afternoon scanning the horizon, feeling the salty breeze, and getting up close to these incredible animals. Nature at its absolute best.

Sunsets, Sea Breezes & Cabo’s Famous Landmarks
Sunsets in Cabo are something else, and one of the best ways to take them in is on the water. We did a sunset cruise that sailed past El Arco, Land’s End, and Lover’s Beach, giving us that classic postcard-perfect Cabo view. Floating on the waves, drink in hand, with the sky turning shades of pink and gold—honestly, it doesn’t get better than that.

Beach Days & Baja Vibes
Of course, we couldn’t skip Medano Beach, the heart of Cabo’s beach scene. Whether you’re up for water activities, beach bars, or just lounging in the sun, this is the place to be. We spent the day with our toes in the sand, enjoying the lively energy and unbeatable ocean views.

A Classic Cabo Stop: Drinks at Cabo Wabo & Marina People-Watching
No trip to Cabo is complete without a stop at Cabo Wabo, and of course, we had to enjoy a drink (or two 😉) there. After that, we headed to the marina, grabbed another drink, and just sat back to take in the scene—watching the boats come and go and doing a little people-watching. Sometimes, these simple moments are what make a trip feel extra special.

San José del Cabo Art Walk: A Colorful Escape
A little change of pace took us to San José del Cabo, where we wandered through the Thursday night Art Walk—one of my favorite things to do in the area. The streets come alive with local artists, live music, a fun, creative energy, and fresh churro carts which are delicious. Even if you’re not looking to buy art, just strolling through, checking out the murals, and stopping for a drink at one of the cute little courtyards is such a cool experience.

Food, Drinks & Flavors of Cabo
Let’s be real—one of the best parts of any trip is the food, and Cabo never disappoints. From fresh seafood to authentic tacos (which I could eat every single day), we had some seriously good meals. Whether it was a casual beachside taco stand or a gorgeous rooftop restaurant, every bite was chef’s kiss. And, of course, no trip to Cabo is complete without margaritas, which we happily taste-tested at just about every stop.
Why Cabo Keeps Calling Me Back
This trip was everything I love about Cabo—a perfect balance of adventure, relaxation, great food, and unforgettable views. Whether it was watching whales, sailing at sunset, wandering through colorful streets, or simply lounging with a cocktail in hand, every day had its own little moment of magic.
If you’ve never been to Cabo, you need to add it to your list. And if you have? Well, then you know exactly why I’m already thinking about my next trip back. 😉
